So its been a fun and busy past two weeks!!! A few things have been going on. (the above pic is from a photoshoot i was able to go on for ALIVE, just letting you know!)
First. I have been ALL about reading. I have this new thing that I'm reading three books at a time to keep my interest. Because it seems when I only read one book, I find myself not having time and then i forget the storyline and it all goes down hill from there. But when reading three, I am kept going because I try to stay around the same page number in all three. So once I reach around 50 pages in one book, I switch to the other and so on. So it keeps me wanting to keep reading so I can get to the other books. So far I have read about 3 books I think. Which is a big thing for me since I rarely can finish a book at all! Right now I am now on the 2nd Twilight book (Full Moon), I'm starting The Uglies series, and I'm also reading Youth In Revolt. I try to find time to read whenever I'm not busy with school.
School has been insane lately. I am actually glad I took chemistry and biology last semester because it shows me it can't get any worst. ha ha. Since that whole deal, I am able to not get so stressed as easy and I am starting to get really good with scheduling everything I need to do. Pretty much just picture doing 18 hours worth of classes in 8 week period, which means TWICE as much work crammed, along with a job wendsday night and ALL DAY sunday, then put in on friday and saturday night and sometimes during the days throughout the week, ALIVE internship stuff. Its pretty fun. But again, not even close to last semester.
The only upside out of all my classes is my laid back German Baking class. Who would think such a class could be so eventful, but the first week (with 5 groups and 2 cakes each) we had no working oven, so we ran in the rain to another house on the webster campus to use theirs. Then had to run back and forth. It was interesting. But its been alot of fun since I have 3 of my friends in there also. But this past monday we found out that webster feels like we cant even use an oven now AT ALL because its a SAFETY HAZARD!! So now we have NO oven, and oh, we can't even use a microwave because thats a safety hazard also..ha. So, I'm in a baking class that we cant bake in... This past week we just watched a german movie Sissi and decorated cookies.....hmmm.. but its still alot of fun so its ok. Its just kind of ridiculous at the same time.
I also had a pretty cool ALIVE event this past week. It was alot of fun! It was a BUZZ LIST event which just means everyone who is anyone in St. Louis got invited. I dont get why more people dont go to ALIVE events. YOU SHOULD!! Most are open to the public after a certian time. Sometimes you have to pay for a ticket but its worth it! And alot of times ALIVE has an event at some club or lounge every week, so you can usually find something to do. They are full of people you can make connections with and network, but I see the same people at every party. Its kind of crazy. Like at the B event, I met some record producers, film makers, some major missouri politicians, two woman who personally worked for Fergie to produce fergies and carlos santanas line of shoes, Rams players and the list goes on. The party is full of people that would make your "degree to kevin bacon" game about 2 degrees to many celebrities and public figures in politics. But agian, no one goes, except for the same people over and over again, and the poeple invited, which being invited just means you are VIP, but everyone alot of times can still go!! Its just crazy to me. But anyway, it was a neat event to meet some of these people.
Its been a fun and BUSY past two weeks, but Its keeping me on my toes!! :) I will write again in a week or so to update you all on my interesting and eventful life in THE LOU!!
